We Swim Together.
In order to develop my infographic about shark attacks into something that is genuinely useful for users, I designed a campaign that focuses on positively sharing information to beach goers about the presence of sharks in the ocean.
The We Swim Together campaign is not intended to scare or alarm, but rather to educate and bring a new perspective to the negative stigma associated with the shark species.
Despite your low odds of a shark encounter while swimming in the ocean, any type of marine activity along Florida’s coastline can carry the risk of an unplanned encounter with sharks. This campaign provides basic tips for your safety when swimming with sharks, should you ever meet the world’s largest predatory fish.
Aiming to prove that sharks and humans can coexist, the effectiveness of this campaign is brought to the public through fin decals found in everyday places of a beach town. Connecting one step further, social media plays a large role in the access to information where more shark safety awareness can easily be shared.
